TV screens with Star Plus’s new offering Divya Drishti.

follows
the life of two sisters with superpowers. The story is something that
had never been told on the Indian Television before and so, is very
gripping. The unique tale is backed by some of the talented actors of
Television. With its unique tale, Divya
Drishti is
a visual delight for the Indian daily soap viewers. This is why Divya
Drishti touched the TRP ratings of 1.9, becoming the seventh
most-watched Urban TV show within the week of its TV premiere.
Storyline
Divya
and Drishti is blessed with a superpower of their own. While Drishti
can foresee the upcoming events through her third eye, Divya
possesses the power to change those events. In simpler words, Drishti
can see the future and Divya can change it. However, for their powers
to be the most persistent, they have to be together. But fate has
planned something else for them.
Elsewhere,
an evil witch Pishachini is looking for the sister in order to kill
them for their superpowers. Divya and Drishti manage to escape
anyhow. In the course of saving their children from Pishachini, their
parents Vidya and Sarthak have to give up their lives. The sisters
get separated and grow up in different families who adopt them.
The
show then takes 20 years leap in which we see Divya and Drishti grown
up with their individuality. They are poles apart, while Drishti is
mature and calm Divya is a happy-go-lucky girl. Meanwhile, Drishti is
constantly haunted by enigmatic visions of Pishachini and wonders
about the meaning of those visions. Divya and Drishti are also
determined to find each other and reunite. They try to reunite on
every full moonlight and eventually find one another after a series
of events. In the course, they also meet the love of their lives and
get married. Drishti marries her crush Rakshit whereas Divya is
married to Shikhar.
Now,
the sisters are set to find and punish their parent’s killer and in
this, they take help from Shikhar and Romi, Drishti’s adoptive
brother. As the story unfolds, they manage to kill the evil
Pishachini but to no avail as the evil and stubborn spirit of
Pishachini now possesses Divya’s body. Drishti separates the evil
soul from Divya’s body but they do not get rid of Pishachini as she
comes alive back in her own body. The sisters are threatened and put
with new challenges repetitively as Pishachini tries to harm the
sisters in one or the other way. Thus, there’s more to intrigue
about. The show with its enticing swirls is capable of keeping you
hooked to your TVs.
